USF Health on touchMDT:
“About the patient, with the patient, and for the patient”
On top of excellent feedback from our learners about our ground-breaking touchMDT medical education format, we’ve been blown away by this view from The University of South Florida (USF). It’s great to hear this from one of our accreditation partners.
“By placing the patient at the center of the educational activity, the healthcare team is trained on how to provide care that is truly about the patient, with the patient, and for the patient rather than treating from just a clinical perspective. The MDT educational format guides the learner to partner with the patient and coordinate a treatment approach that is collaborative, delivers high-quality care and has the same common goal of improving the patient’s outcomes.”
Susan C Frye, BSN, MA, Accreditation Compliance Manager, USF Health
We work with a number of providers to accredit our independent medical education activities, including USF Health. USF Health is an accredited provider of continuing professional development by the Accreditation Council of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
The University of South Florida (USF) created USF Health as an enterprise dedicated to making life better by improving health in the wider environment, in communities, and for individuals. USF Health has, as its core, the colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health, including a School of Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant Program. Originally founded as USF College of Medicine in 1965, its name was changed to USF Health to reflect its collaborative focus on the full continuum of health. USF Health is fully approved by the Liaison Committee for Medical Education. Continuing education and lifelong learning have always been an integral part of USF Health’s educational mission.
